Cancer Fundraiser, Labour Day, 2010

The Trafalgar Truck Restorers Club (TTRC) held a fundraiser for the Oncology Unit of the West Gippsland Hospital (or Warragul Hospital as it used to be known as) on Labour Day. All in all, with activities on the day, including raffles and auctions, fund raising at Trucks in Action and donations from the Community, we donated $3000 to the Unit. There was a write-up in the Warragul Trader from March 25, 2010.

We held the event at Max and Maisie O'Brien's farm out of Trafalgar, which is a lovely venue. Below are some photos of some the trucks displayed.

A line-up including Bob Needham's 1947 KM Bedford , John Mahoney's 1964 Dodge and Stan Hamilton's 1969 F250.

Frank Strickland's 1961 JI model Bedford, restored by the late Jim Bury and Ray Watt.

John Nicholson's 1978 International Scout.

John Mahoney's 1964 Dodge.

Delsa Bury's 1948 KB2 Inter, which is the basis of our Club logo. Jim Bury, our foundation member, passed away last year with Cancer.

We left the Volvo at home, but there was a European truck there - this is the new acquistion of Vyn Harris, a 1425 Benz and there is a another view below.
