Dubbo Vintage Truck Show 2014 - Atkinson to Foden

We went to the Golden Oldies Truck Club show at Dubbo showgrounds on August 9, 2014 and for some reason didn't post any of the photos here at the time - so here they are, two years later. The Dubbo Truck Show has trucks in a pavillion and trucks in the open, some of our photos we took in the pavilion are pretty ordinary, couldn't get the camera settings right.  In this post you will see all the Atkinsons to the Fodens. To  see all the Fords, Internationals and Kenworths, click here. To see the Macks and all the trucks alphabetically through to Whites, click here.

We'll start with Frank Latorre's Foden. Frank is an avid truck show supporter and travels miles each year going to truck shows.

Here's Frank's Foden again in the Grand Parade

I'm not sure what make this is, I just call it  a Fire Engine

Paddy Ward's Ampol tanker - it's a Federal. Because I like it, here it is twice.

This is an ERF - you don't see many of them, so here's two views of it.

Above and below - 2 really bad photos, but as the owners came all the way from Victoria to Dubbo for the show, they deserve to be recorded in the blog. Brian Dawe's truck is above and Jeff Johnston's 1929 Dodge, is below.

Diamond T

Rod Calleja's Diamond REO - dark coloured truck, in the pavilion, sadly a bad photo of a good looking truck was inevitable.

Diamond REO - inside shot and outside shot

Two very nice Diamonds

John Knight's Diamond T

Paddy Ward's Diamond T

Good looking Commer, pity we didn't remove the bucket from under the truck before we took the photo.

Chevrolet, above and below, this was such a great looking truck, pictures don't do it justice.

As you can see from the blue sky the weather was great.

Dubbo Vintage Truck Show 2014 - Mack to White

Two years ago, we went to the Golden Oldies Truck Club show at Dubbo showgrounds on August 9, 2014 and finally I have organised the photos and here they are.  This post shows all trucks from the Macks alphabetically to the Whites. To see the Fords, Internationals and Kenworths on display, click here.  To see the Atkinsons through to the Fodens,  click hereSome of the pictures taken in the pavilion are unremarkable, but worth a look. I'm starting with our trucks (1976 N10 Volvo, 1974 1418 Mercedes Benz and the 1999 NH12 Volvo and a Top Start dropdeck trailer) then we'll get to the Macks and the rest of the trucks.

This is us, on the way home, at Grenfell in New South Wales

Loading up the Benz at Dubbo

Our Benz - ordinary photo taken inside and better photo taken outside.

Here are the Macks

This is Rod Calleja's B-model - it's a great looking truck, sorry the picture is so dismal.

This is Rod's Superliner - another great truck, another bad photo.

This is the last of our Macks

This is an MAN - two views of it as we don't see many of these at truck shows.

Mercedes Benz

Ian Bartholomew's Mercedes Benz

I don't know what make this is - I've just called it 'old truck'

Osh Kosh - I like them - here it is twice.

Osh Kosh - my favourite aubergine truck

Rob French's Peterbilt

Peterbilt

Peterbilt - nice looking truck, photo not so good.

Peterbilt

Tow truck - don't know what make it is.

Our Volvo - 1976 N10

Both our Volvo's - the Hi-Torque Group, Volvo and Mack dealers, were sponsors of the show, so our Volvos and some Macks were on their stand.
