In this third post on Trucks in Action at Lardner Park in 2010, you will see some of the medium size trucks and commercial vehicles. As I said in the
first post, which showed all the smaller commercial vehicles, there is not necessarily any logical or technical reasons as to why I have decided that the trucks are big, medium or small. The
second post shows all the big trucks. We will start with my favourite truck at Trucks in Action, apart from the Volvo, Rob & Carol Tylee's tram truck.
This is Bendigo Tram's No.15 truck, a 1957 Bedford, with the working platform to fix the overhead tram lines. Not only does the platform still work, but so does the bell. This was the truck's first public outing, since Rob & Carol purchased it a few months ago. Next to it is Norm Nettleton's 1975 J3 Bedford.
Two fire trucks were on show, a 1957 Austin displayed by Wayne Roots (above) which is still a working fire truck and was used on Black Saturday. Below is Ian Latham's 1951 Austin, which originally belonged to the Joel Fire Brigade. Joel is near Ararat.
There were two Fodens, Warwick Bryce's 1955 GF and Frank La Torre's 1961 S21 model (below).
Graham and Heather Cameron's 1943 Lend Lease Chev, which was originally the Narre Warren Fire Brigade truck. They also displayed their 1971 &-series Dodge.
John Denholm's 1962 International AB180 log jinker.
Bill Sedgeman's 1975 Ford F350, next to Stan Hamilton's 1969 Ford F250.
Stan Hamilton also displayed his other truck, his 1946 Maple Leaf, towing his 1950 caravan, originally owned by the Thomas family of Pakenham, the publishers of the
Pakenham Gazette since 1909. The caravan is shown below.
The other caravan at Trucks in Action, was owned by Ian James. Ian's caravan is a home made 1950 van and is towed by his 1948 Morris Commercial.

Jock Crawford's 1974 International and, below, Lloyd Hunter's 1972 Inter.

In this line up, the 1970 Commer 2500 is owned by John Gramlick, who has had it since new. Further along, the red Inter AA150 is owned by Russell and Brenton Ashley.

The only Japanese truck on show belonged to Graeme & Judy Johnston. It is a 1976 Toyota Dyna, pictured above, with their 1976 TK Bedford.

Two Acco C1800's. The one, above, belongs to Fred Black and
Des & Lynn Judd's is below.
And finally, last but not least, the only bus on display, owned by Trucks in Action regular, John Phillips. The bus is a s1952 AEC Regal Mark 3, originally owned by the Melbourne & Metropolitan Tramways Board.

We left the Volvo at home, but there was a European truck there - this is the new acquistion of Vyn Harris, a 1425 Benz and there is a another view below.
